Vintage Deity Cestaro

We’re at it again! Austin Fashion Week is just around the corner and already the local shootin competition is fierce.  The Inspiration behind our VINTAGE DEITY fashion photo was derived from Sarah Eileen’s original, one of a kind dress that she made especially for Austin Fashion Week. It’s light ethereal flow and dreamy vintage softness was reminiscent of American impressionist J.D. Waterhouse’s or Italian Impressionist Pino Daeni’s paintings, and how they captured soft light, the delicate flowy fashion, and beauty of women. All of our critical design elements and details were styled by Sarah, Sandra, Mandy, Krissi, and Joseph and were placed with care as if painted by brush. White, the symbol of purity, was replicated in the antique milk pitcher and the pouring the milk upon the land is symbolic of life, mother earth, goddess, deity and the feminine with the gold details emphasizing wealth and bounty. Britany’s beautiful, feminine, statuesque figure and Mediterranean features complimented the shape and lay of the dress and rounds out the nurturing, nymphish, feminine, old world, maiden archetype. Though we worked many scenes, we ultimately sought simple architecture, seemingly monumental or temple-like draped in fine lace and set amongst water plants and palm trees. We hope you like our life-affirming homage to the feminine and vintage fashion and hope you vote for us at Thank You!
